I had a bad experience. I'm sure no vet gets into the business because they don't care for animals. I didn't get the impression that my pet's welfare was a priority here. After 18 hours in their care and with 2 gaping holes in her, not even a stitch. A completely unnecessary test was carried out and even after a negative result, the vets were still unwilling to treat her. I then took her out of their care and drove her to my vet in London who began treatment almost immediately. I'm sure other people have not been treated this way but, because of the poor care that I experienced , I will never use them again and I would advise anyone to avoid this place. I took her into Cathcart & Winn at approx 1700 on Thursday. The picture below is what she looked like when I took her out of their care at lunchtime the following day. While writing this review my vet called me to ask if I wanted my dog resuscitated if she crashes during the operation. Shame on you all.

We have been clients of this vets practice for many, many years without any issues. Unfortunately, very recently, I experienced a level of service when bringing in my puppy for a very normal check-up and vaccine that fell well below any standard level of expectation or service. It was quite frankly shocking. I was given a "student nurse" and not advised of this in advance of my appointment or given any opportunity to request someone actually qualified. While she was able to adminiter the vaccine, she could not answer any of my questions. She kept leaving the room to ask other people and I was left without any basic understanding surrounding flea and worm treatments. She declined to provide me with any other treatment due to the fact that she did not have the necessary permission. When I made a complaint the response that I have received in writing from the person in charge is SHOCKING. No responsibility has been taken by ANYONE there at all, no APOLOGY has been provided by anyone there, except the poor girl who was very clearly out of her depth. Instead, I have been advised to go elsewhere with my two dogs for their future veterinary care! A simple apology would have sufficed, along with an acknowledgement that things had gone wrong and should have been done better - that's all.
