Medivet Dorking

I’m very disappointed with my experience with Medivet, especially with the healthcare plan and the cancellation process. I joined the membership at £15.50 per month. I also paid separately for my cat’s treatment. I paid £28.49 on 23 July, £73.30 on 28 July, £15.50 on 24 August and £15.50 on 23 September — £132.79 in total. During this time, my cat received one worming tablet, one antibiotic treatment and two flea treatment boxes. When I asked to cancel the membership, I was first told that I needed to pay £100. Then I was told that I would have to pay for the products/treatments I had used. After that, I was given another amount and told I needed to pay around £155 to cancel because of the remaining membership payments. I found this very confusing and disappointing because the amount I was told I needed to pay seemed to change each time I asked about cancellation. I still don’t feel the cancellation cost was clearly explained to me. I also explained that my cat is no longer coming home. I have been trying to catch him and bring him home, but unfortunately I have been unable to do so. I even contacted a cat rescue organisation for help, but unfortunately I have not been able to get the help I needed. I asked Medivet whether the membership could be transferred or changed to my other cat, as I am still caring for another cat and wanted to continue using their services. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with how this situation was handled. I understand that memberships have terms and conditions, but I expected clearer communication and more understanding of my situation. Overall, the changing amounts I was told I needed to pay and the difficulty cancelling the membership have left me very disappointed with my experience.

The service and staff have been exceptional for both myself and my dog jinx.

I have three cats. Dragana treats them all as if they are her own. I took one of my cats in yesterday and she was very relaxed and un-rushed with him which in turn made him relaxed. She took time to show myself and my daughter how to palpate the issue and told us how to treat him and gave us a Plan B. She just sat and stroked him whilst we were talking. I cannot praise her highly enough. I have also had several dealing with Katie on reception and she has been extremely helpful.
